Art. 9 - Attainment of the master's degree.
1. The grade shall be expressed in hundredths. 2. The examination is considered passed if the grade is 66/110 or higher. Unanimity of the committee is required for the granting of honors. 3. The degree awarded is "Master's Degree in Computer Engineering (Class of Master's Degrees in Computer Engineering (LM-32))." 4. Undergraduates who during the course of their studies have served as Student Representatives in the University Bodies shall be awarded a special mention, with notation of the same in the Diploma Supplement.
Art. 10 - Criteria of reference for determining the master's degree grade.
1. The master's degree grade is determined by the sum of the admission grade and the grade given to the thesis submitted by the undergraduate. 2. The admission grade is calculated in hundredths as a weighted average over all grades earned excluding superannuation exam grades. It is rounded up to an integer if the decimal is greater than or equal to 0.5, down if less than 0.5. A point (bonus) is added to the grade thus calculated when the undergraduate has earned at least 12 credits in certified activities at foreign universities or institutions. 3. The master's degree committee shall award a whole grade from 0 to 7 to the thesis submitted by the undergraduate. 4. If the final score, the sum of the admission grade with the thesis grade, exceeds or equals 110 the committee shall award the degree grade 110/110 or "110/110 cum laude." The eventual 5 award of honors is made by unanimous approval of the committee. If the final score (greater than or equal to 110) added to the number of commendations the student has in his or her career (excluding any commendations in supernumerary examinations) is at least 114, the chairperson proposes to the committee the possible award of honors.
