The course of study in brief
The course is located in an area of great economic interest for primary animal production and its subsequent processing into food products.
The environment is particularly well-known for the production of excellent products. The basic idea is that 'only from a quality raw material can a quality product be born'.
The area's agro-food vocation, its focus on the production of a quality raw material (milk, meat, etc.) and its transformation into products of equally high quality, known all over the world, represent an example and a stimulus for other experiences, projected both in a national and international context. To these indications a further and specific interest in the world of horses, which represents a unique example in the panorama of university courses at national level, is added.
The first two-year period is common to all students and provides solid basic knowledge in science course units (chemistry, physics, computer science, statistics, biology, botany, genetics) and in-depth study of their application in the fields of animal production and reproduction and food safety.
In the third year, some course units become curricular, while retaining the uniqueness of the class type: this means deepening certain aspects concerning horse breeding, or the breeding of livestock or the processing of animal products.
